6:50 - Israeli dancing performance by our 8th and 9th graders
7:00 to 7:50 - Experiential learning sessions
Choose from:
- Jerusalem of Gold: Create an heirloom-quality mosaic to hang in the Temple with Rabbi Symons and our Temple Brotherhood.
- Israel’s Scroll of Independence: The responsibility that comes with being free! A discussion with Rabbi Ende about Israel’s Scroll of Independence and the tensions and challenges that it holds.
- Songs of Israel: Learn songs that stress our connection to Jerusalem and to the Land of Israel with Rabbi Gibson. Join the discussion with him about whether or not Israel Independence Day should be a religious as well as a secular holiday.
- Israeli dancing with Maya Ben-Yehuda, and the 8th and 9th graders. Join the group to do some traditional Israeli folk dancing! A good time guaranteed!
- Building the Old City: If you are 6-12 years old, look forward to building the Old City out of ice cream and/or legos with Sara Stock Mayo to be judged by the Rabbis at the end of the evening.
- Hands-on activity for our 0 6-year-olds with Joan, Rachel and Kristen that is sure to be a memorable way to celebrate Israel!
