Our spiritual and educational leaders work together in a seamless way with Senior Rabbi James A. Gibson leading the effort. From the pulpit, the classroom, the board room or his study, Rabbi Gibson is much beloved for his deep sense of community and his ability to draw from each of us our very best. Rabbi Gibson works directly with the Neshama Center for Jewish Spirituality is the spiritual heart of Temple Sinai.

In addition to his pulpit and congregational responsibilities, Rabbi Gibson chairs the Jewish Unity Project for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and convenes the Priest-Rabbi Dialogue sponsored by the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He also serves as co-chair of the Jewish-Christian Dialogue and teaches Catholic high school students through the Catholic-Jewish Educational Enrichment Program at Oakland Catholic High School.

Rabbi Ronald B.B. Symons, Director of Lifelong Learning, never misses an opportunity to teach — our young, our Seniors and everyone in between. Rabbi Symons is passionate about Jewish learning and devotes much of his time to planning, crafting and delivering educational opportunities for members of our congregations and in the community at large. As Director of Lifelong Learning, he serves as rabbinic guide for the Midrash Center for Jewish Learning, and also provides rabbinic support to our very active Tikkun Olam Center for Jewish Social Justice.

Sara Stock-Mayo, Cantorial Soloist and Chaplain, loves people and the expression of that love with her music. Through the Mostly Musical Shabbat, the Intergenerational Choir, the Youth Choir and the Sinai Band, Sara has encouraged each of us to find the music within and express it. Sara also serves as congregational chaplain, visiting Sinai members in hospitals, nursing homes and special care facilities.
